Plane Crashes in Hudson River !
Passengers stand on the rescue chutes of a US Airways plane as a ferry pulls up to it after it landed in the Hudson river in New York.
US Airways Flight 1549 has crashed in the Hudson River near New York after taking off from LaGuardia Airport. The plane, which reportedly had 146 passengers on board, was attempting to turn around after reporting a mechanical problem. Televised reports showed ferry boats typically used to take passengers across the Hudson surrounding the airplane, which remained partially afloat. No information has yet been released about injuries.
