Renzo Piano
The man seen above is the world renowned Italian architect, Renzo Piano and the successor of several awards such as the Pritzker Architecture Prize, AIA Gold Medal, Kyoto Prize and the Sonning Prize. There are many people whom disregard all his outstanding achievements in the field of architecture and continously oppose his conceptual designs and criticize them as, "a hodgepodge of tents, greenhouses and scaffolding." Renzo's latest plans are those of his latest project, The Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center (SNFCC) which will be located in Athens, Greece. The SNFCC will include the latest in environmentally progressive, state-of-the-art facilities. For a better understanding of Renzo's talens, we show you other works he's internationally recognized for which are seen below.
'The SNFCC Plans' in Greece
'The New York Times Building' in Times Square, NY
'The Academy of Sciences' in San Francisco, CA
'The Art Institute of Chicago' in Chicago
