The Tagger

Photobucket

I bomb not to terrorize.
I bomb not to vandalize.
I bomb to release the creativity inside.
I bomb walls because they are my only weapons.
My bombing materials I can buy regardless of how many recessions.
If not censored, my damage can last well over 40 elections.
Do not confuse me, for I am a tagger,
Whose words are deep like the blow of a dagger.

A Collective Effort

Photobucket

Everfresh has made the collective effort to put together a COLOSSAL wall project in Fitzroy, Melbourne with the contributions of artists Phibs, Sync, Reka, Rone, Meggs, Prizm Wonderlust, Makatron & Tooth. The entire scheme of the mural will be in black/gray/white (hence why the photos are b/w). The beauty of collaboration is one giant step which can bring you closer to your goals, take note of that.

Nike SB "Blue Lobster" General Release

Photobucket

Boston based store, Concept has been fortunate enough to continue their original collabo with Nike SB and their "Lobster" sneakers which have amounted a large sum of respect and not to mention, success. The "Red Lobster" and this year's follow-up, the "Blue Lobster" have been extra limited including special touches such as packaging and extras, but that's until recently. The "Blue Lobster" have begun to load onto shelves of retailers under a general release. Although they will exclude the additional goodies seen in prior releases, everyone from adults to students have the chance to hold one of these fresh catch.

Giving Them a Dose

Photobucket

As the highly anticipated release date (Sept. 20th) of the Clipse's "Til the Casket Drops" album approaches, samples have been cooking up to hit all Play Cloths retailers out in the nation. The quantity is limited and the concept is "dope," literally, so be quick to get your fix.

FARchannel: Sade | "Your Love is King"

If radio stations were to play this type of music on a frequent basis, then perhaps I would bother to lay a finger on my dusted stereo instead of my mp3. Listen here folks, allow this clip to rock and just vibe because "Love" is King!

FARchannel: Tyga | "Cali Love"

Tyga sounds extra smooth on this effort to "put Cali on."

N*E*R*D at Glastonbury

After having trouble getting up to perform at Glastonbury, Pharrell and the rest of the gang finally had the chance to do so, but unfortunately had the plug pulled in the middle of the last song. Check out the footage below.

Highway Barrel Monster

Photobucket

A student of North Carolina State University, Joe Carnevale created a "monster" of construction barrels and after a days work and a night of putting the statue together, authority was quick to rip it down. The creative artist now faces criminal charges for the creation along a major road near the university's campus. Our opinion? Authority lacks a tad bit of appreciation. Check out the clip below detailing the situation.

Tribute to MJ Mix by Premier

Photobucket

Mike's untimely death has shaken everyone to the point where we have forgotten all his flaws and his fame has once again risen. But before the loss of such great legend, Mike was an icon. A man whose influence transcended to mostly every genre in existence. A man whose concert's would sell out by the minute. A man that way after his death, would live on through the soul of his music. To demonstrate the appreciation for his efforts felt by the people, an overabundance of tribute videos and mixtapes have surfaced, but none like a mix put together by Hip hop producer DJ Premier. Check it out by clicking o the link below.

I'm starting to believe that the crisis of the use of auto-tune has become so immense, that Jay found it a good idea to make a video for his "Death of Auto-tune" track. Check out the trailer that has surfaced the blogosphere.

HTC's "Hero"

Photobucket

After the heavy leakage of the much-rumored, new Android phone, the Hero, HTC confirmed its physical details and features. The highlight features are plentiful: new Android interface, called Sense featuring Flash capability, 3.2 inch fingerprint-free screen, 5MP camera, A-GPS, gravity sensor and much more. Since every "Hero" has its downfall, the only downfall this one has, as of yet, is that it's Europe-only; BUT! there are chances it might be landing on our turf this Fall.

Yves Saint Lauren Men's Spring 2010

Photobucket

For the introduction of the collection, Stefano Pilati first previewed a short film shot by French actor/writer/director Samuel Benchetrit, starring his 11-year old son, Jules in which he reunites a couple who are having communication issues, underlined the romantic ideal that is at the core of Pilati's work. The collection demonstrated elegant high-waist pants, under-tailored jackets, low in front, higher in back, and various sinuate pieces which wrapped the body. The ideal of the entire collection was, "Folky but formal, what menswear should be," as Pilati mentioned at the show's end. For full coverage of the collection click here.

The clip above is rather groovy. Its a compilation of Allen Iverson, Jim Mora, Dennis Green, Joe Namath, and Terrell Owens all talking during press conferences. With a little touch of creativity, their monologues were mashed up into a rap song, thanks to DJ Steve Porter.

The Powers of Katsu

Warhol at the Grand Palais

Photobucket

So here is another exhibition I just dug up that's been going on and will continue to do so until July 13th at the Grand Palais, Paris, France. Ironically, pictures to be taken is prohibited which leaves me wondering how they managed to get these tasters then. Anyway, the exhibition showcases of all andy's infamous portraits from the Jackies to the Marilyns. Once again, GET THERE!

Lady Gaga... Oh My

Don't mean to come off as one who sits in class as the teacher preaches and introduce my mind to a fantastical world where top-notch ladies await my entrance (though it is commonplace for many men), but Lady Gaga is killing shit with the looks! In an interview she did say she desires to be like Madonna and have her music/spirit live on through generations. Well, in our opinion shes doing a pretty dandy job at achieving that goal especially with this video being a benefactor. Check it out and while you're doing so, try to peep as she kisses the officer who appears to be a female.

Utagawa Kuniyosh's BALLerific Art

Your idea of what these illustrations might be trying to depict are probably quite blurry, but don't stress it, you're not alone. This is Utagawa Kuniyoshi's artwork and it's not the first time he depicts animals acting out all forms of activities with their handy scrotums. The first instinct was seen in the Studio Ghibli film Pom Poko where tanuki's unfurled their testicles for use as a sitting mat, parachute and more. The art is creative and indeed amusing, but is it worth buying and hanging up?
