FARchannel: GOOD Music After Party

This clip is an extension to the Big Sean & Mr. Hudson Live post earlier. You have all sorts of artist from; Damon Albarn, De La Soul, GOOD Music, Kanye West, Mos Def, Nas, Will.i.am with the appearance of others all performing or better yet, FRESSTYLIN' on the same stage. My favorites from the clip have to be Wiil.I.Am and most definitely Mos Def. It's semi-old but it don't hurt to check it out

FARchannel: Alchemist, "Loose Your Life"

Check the animation out on this one. Looks like the illustrators of Scooby-Doo were called to do the job on this and prepared to draw with a more Hip-Hop/Street flavor. Don't forget to listen to the song because that is the whole purpose of the video.

Sidebar: I was just kidding about the Scooby-Doo fling. The actual director/illustrator of the video was Devin Flynn.

The Change Within Time

Photobucket

This is something random but I just felt like showing you the difference from how the trains in New York were to what they have become today. Everything has changed from the hygiene of the trains, the fashion and even the way of sitting of the people. This is amazing in a weird way. I wonder if this can be considered as evolution amongst the human being species?

Nike 1World AF1 x CLOT

Photobucket

Wow! Complementing the numerous collaborations with Nike 1World Air Force 1, here is CLOT's own piece of the pie as they introduce these kicks right before the year ends. All of the detailing you see aren't just empty designs. The details and designs celebrate China's Lunar New Year and the material is meant to represent happiness, prosperity and of course, Luck. What has me craving the sneakers isn't the sneaker itself, but the box they come in. I shouldn't even be labeling it a box, it's more like a collectible. The release date is set for some time in January and like all the other good stuff I wish to have, it's only a Hong Kong exclusive.

Lanvin Satins

Photobucket

From the 2008 Fall/Winter Collection, which technically disqualifies them from being that "new new" shit. These Lanvins are something you'll definitely find me sporting (if I could afford 'em). The brand only uses leather, suede and satin (which was used for the sneakers above) material for all their sneakers and run for about $820 bucks. Check 'em out or buy them if you have the sufficient funds.

Dior Homme Lumiere Du Nord

Photobucket

Now these are tougher than dice. These are part of the Dior Homme Lumiere Du Nord. The entire collection consists of 2 pairs of shoes: one sneaker and one boot along with 4 modern men's bags: messenger, backpack, shopper and weekender . They're not new in the market but they are most definitely desirable in my eyes. It is pretty evident the inspiration was taken from Johhny Depp's character from the '92 film, "Edward ScissorHands." With the 2009 Fall/Winter Collection from Dior already being modeled, there are possibilities a newer package will be releasing but it's not definite.

*Recognition to my man Ali De la Soul for this one.

FARchannel: Cudi Interview

Eighty81 interviews G.O.O.D. Music records' artist, Kid Cudi as he describes himself as a person and how he achieved to stand in the place he does right now in the industry. Cudi speaks about possibilities of an "album" being released "in Spring. It sounds like the perfect time." It also sounds like it's going to be a good year for him. Check it out.

Wait, What?

I, Al, just heard some interesting info I'd like to supply you, the viewers, with. The breaking news has been that artist, Ryan Leslie went to the moon to check out the duder, Kid CuDi with some "New New" concepts for the near future. Hmm...was it just a random meet up or is there something being cooked up in the lab? Guess we'll have to find out.

Random... African Platter

Earlier tonight, I went out to eat to a restaurant to have a pleasant time with my girl when she made an interesting discovery. She had ordered a big ass mothafriggen steak for herself and as she was devouring it, she shouted, "Hey look, it's Africa!" I looked up and replied, "Oh shit... that's cool!" and laughed about it. I quickly got a grip of my phone and took a picture of it to do nothing else but to BLOG about it. I don't know about you but this is just as random, yet as interesting to me as the apparition of Jesus on a french toast. Seriously, doesn't it look like Africa?

Sidebar: The shape of the steak wasn't done intentionally.

UndrCrwn 2008 Holiday Collection

Photobucket

UnderCrown gladly gives us a look of their 2008 Holiday Collection as they use two mascots (Rooster & SnowMan) to model off their clothes. Thoughts: The idea is funny to have mascots as models but anyways. Their concept, keeping sports as their main inspiration, remains and the clothing overall is pretty nice. Rather than posting up a million pictures of every new article of clothing, we're going to sum it all up with a video which basically exhibits the entire collection. Check out the hoody with the POM ball; that's my favorite. Available at select retailers and UndrCrwn.

FARradio: Kanye ft. Sly Polaroid x Timmy G,"Payback "

Photobucket

Arguably, one of Kanye's most hostile verse you'll ever hear. This track is called, "Payback" and features artists, Sly Polaroid and Timmy G. It's a pretty dark track compared to 808's & Heartbreak. Click on the link to listen to or download the track.

Sidebar: This song is old in the sense it was recorded before Kanye's idea to make an album where he'll sing and use auto-tune all the way thru. It was unreleased.

So word in the streets is that Vans is setting to release their Vault "Schaffers Pack" Line some time in '09. Some pics of the pack have been previewed as they show the pack including a Sk8 Hi, a Slip On, an Old Skool, an Era, a 106 Vulcanized, and a Chukka with amazing details, from wool to fleece panels and special logo labeling. Just keep a watch on the blog as we'll be quick to notify on the release dates.

FARradio: Lykke Li, "Little Bit"

Photobucket

Listen to this song featuring Mickey Factz and Drake. It's a remix to the remix of Lykke Li’s single, "Little Bit." Now I never really heard of Drake, although people have mentioned him to me. I never took the time to look him up until today that I stumbled upon this track which I really got into. It has a mellow flow, more like a pre-valentine theme, having Mickey Factz which he murdered it on his verse. Click on the link to listen to or download the track.

The Year in Architecture

With the year coming to an end, we must recognize some of the impressive, colossal architectural constructions of 2008. It is simply amazing how such powerful, ingenious minds can come together and plan out the blueprints of constructions that are to last decades standing upright like the Mayan, Aztec or Egyptian Pyramids have. Of course, the credits are mutually divided between the architects, contractors and construction workers. Besides the main purpose of the constructions, these landmarks are made with the contemplation of later in the future being looked at as more than just buildings. To come to a conclusion with the description that is always meant to be brief, here are our TOP 5 Architectural Projects of 2008.

Decayed Art

An exhibition from artist, Valerie Hegarty displaying beautifully decayed art which most likely self-explains the title. Its a good creative art you can say, I say.

FARradio: Tyler the Creator, "Fvck Santa"

A couple days off the actual date this should had been posted but who cares. Listen to Tyler the Creator as he expresses his bare feeling about the fat, white-bearded guy. Sounds more like Scrooge ghostwrote the lyrics. Click on the link to listen to or download the track.

FARchannel: Mac vs. PC

Inspired by Transformers, this short Visual Effect piece shows us what really goes on inside our home computers. That's right, they're robots and they want to beat the f#!@ out of each other. The video, animation and creativity level is superior!

Sidebar: This is the transition I, AL, went through and it's one that everyone is going to eventually have to go through. BELIEVE THAT. If you've never used a Mac get on one ASAP. It's all I gotta say.

Summing it all up, it's worth the buy regardless of the price difference to a PC.

Asinine Perhaps?

Photobucket

I won't hate, it does look cool and it does seem to captivate the crowd's attention but I honestly, don't understand the meaning or concept of this seem to be, Giant Spider. Do you? Maybe it's being used to shoot a real lousy film dealing with a giant spider. That's as far as I can stretch it out. This is up in Boston, MA by the way.

Sidebar: All I know is it took a while to create.

OriginalFake Chomper Hoodie

Photobucket

Yeah, I can fuck with this. With an unknown date set to release, Kaws' Original Fake label just previewed the new Chomper hoodie which has the traditional teeth pattern on the sides and the "XX" on the chest. Stay tuned for this one.

Levi’s Vintage 501XX 1966 Jeans

Photobucket

This is why I stay loyal to Levi's. They have recently created two jeans AKA "The Journey" and "The Ragged Point" using their 501XX Models which basically are worn-out, ripped, torn, stained, patched jeans and etc. The names of the jeans just give away the concept of the destressed, raw material jeans which portray as if they are a pair of well-worn jeans that have been through it all. My perception of what the jeans truly represent, is the time of existence the Levi's Jean Brand as a whole has and all they've been through to reach their pinnacle of success, having the jeans appear old and have gone through lots of struggle yet, they are still wearable. Really, don't mind my mind. It has a world of its own which is why I have looked at these simple articles of clothing and have created a deeper concept for them. These will be pricey most likely and will be available at Levi's Japan.

FARradio: Wale, "UK Freestyle"

Photobucket

Wasn't able to get the player this time. But there's always a PLAN B. Click here and listen to or download Wale's freestyle recorded overseas, in London. I'm telling you the guy has potential.

Albums to Have of 2008

I, Big Ron, won't buy an album unless I feel it's worth buying or worth showing appreciation to. To state my 2 cents; there were many albums from this year of 2008 worth buying but out of all of them, there is a select Top 5 everyone should have in their CD collection, even if it's just to catch dust.

Sidebar: If you think otherwise, drop off a comment with your list.

1.Photobucket
Nas, "Untitled"- Lyrics and truth makes it just another Nas classic.

2.Photobucket
Jay-Z, "American Gangster" - Lyrical and classical.

3.Photobucket
Young Jeezy, "The Recession" - Plainly, the best street and cocaine-spitting artist of today.

4.Photobucket
Kanye West, "808s & Heartbreak"- Whole different genre for him and yet he still manages to create one of the top-selling albums.

5.Photobucket
Lupe Fiasco, "The Cool" - Music with a purpose and with an objective. His rhyming and the putting of stories into his music is incredible

*6th Man*
Photobucket
Lil' Wayne, "The Cater III" - It did sell a million plus ... in a week.

Imagine This Occured

The animation on this video has been edited to purposely to demonstrate one of the many ways Earth can be destroyed as a whole. Scientists say it's very capable of happening in the near future. To be frankly honest with you, this has to be my number one pick if I was to choose how I preferred to die. My choice of words sound graphic but you follow my shift. This gave me goosebumps as I was watching it.

Sidebar: The music behind it by Pink Floyd's, "Great Gig in the Sky" completes the video and makes it even more dramatic. Great song selection for this one.

Can't Afford a Lambo?

Photobucket

Why not buy a Lambo's framework on pedals? Its actually called the "Pedalo Lamborghini" and it's not for sale. It was designed by Benedict Radcliffe who works with these types of things. It's a pretty creative thought brought to life if my opinion was to be asked.

Antartica Views

Photobucket

The Boston Globe have posted 32 panoramic views of Antartica which are worth going crazy about. The vivid, vibrant, disco colours and contrast of the images take me into this world where I find myself sitting in front of a TV as I watch some random Sci-fi film dealing with alien abductions or the colonizations of Martians on Antartica; then again, that's just my engine of comprehension running. The views I have provided for you to see are my favorites but you may check out all of them HERE.
