Air Griffey Max 1 Mariners

Photobucket

Although Ken Griffey Jr.'s career was put into several hiatuses due to injuries, the first kicks officially baring his name weren't stopped by this from becoming one of Nike's most popular sneakers of the 90's. This upcoming April, the shoes will be retro'd in a Seattle Mariners colorway for $140 USD. If you are a "true sneakerhead" (hence the quotations) you know these are CLASSICS and it won't be such a bad idea to add them on to the collection. View more pictures below.

NECKFACE

Photobucket

Some people are in favor of his hustle while others oppose it. Where do we stand? We stand right in between the two dispositions. The infamous NECKFACE's art seems very childish, which might be the reason people hate it, yet it's extremely hard to duplicate. His latest piece titled, "I'm creepin' while you're sleepin'" definitely took out the best in him. Check it out with more pictures underneath and notice we put the pictures in chronological order (you're welcome).

Poorman Weapon

Photobucket

We're really not into Chuck Taylors/Converses or none of that, but the creation from this collaboration between Undefeated and Converse is crazy! I, Big Ron, most definitely love the Tech material laid out on any sneaker especially these. The toughest part about the nylon infused kicks is its interchangeable patches and vibrant liners. The sneaker have already been released at all UNDFTD stores, pardon us for the lateness. We're mostly posting it because we like the shoe in general. Check out more pic below.

Che Guevara

Photobucket

We've seen plentiful of people ignorantly wearing shirts with the image of 'Che', haven't you? Since it will take a lengthy post to explain Che's persona, allow us to at least clarify the history behind one of the most famous photographs in the world.

The originator of this symbolic image goes by the name of Alberto Diaz Gutierrez aka Alberto Korda, which at the time was Fidel Castro's photographer. The photographer captured the image during a mass funeral on March 5th, 1960, a day after a French cargo ship loaded with arsenals had exploded in the city's harbor causing the death of 80 Cubans. The picture seen above entitled,"Guerrillero Heroico", by Korda himself, is the original picture of Che (with a man anterior to him and a palm tree in the background), which was later cropped isolating and focusing on Che. Without any publication for a year, the image hung outside of Korda's studio visible to only the by passers until it met the eyes of the Leftist and intellectual named Giangiacomo Feltrinelli. Korda allowed him to republish it while giving him two 8 x 10 cm prints more as a gift. Unfortunately, Che happened to die a few moths after in 1967 and around that time was when Feltrinelli started distributing copies throughout Italy as well as using it for the cover of his "Diario Del Che In Bolivia" book. Despite the rapid popularity it gained throughout Europe, Korda gained no royalties for the use of his image and received little kudos due to Feltrinelli's failure to credit Alberto. Korda died in 2001 leaving this world happy to know his image was used as a revolutionary banner.

FARchannel: Colin Munroe Ft. Wale, "Will I Stay (Studio Rehearsal)"

The first time we saw/heard of Colin Munroe was when he opened up for Wale at the Highline Ballroom and as he played, his music just felt so right. His music didn't inspire anyone to spaz out (except for this one guy who did throughout whole night), but it sure did have everyone digging it. His music is very welcoming to my ears and find out for yourself as you watch the video above. It features his studio rehearsal sessions before the official track, "Will I Stay" was planted as well as having Wale on the beat laying down his flow.

FARradio: Teriyaki Boyz Ft. Kanye, "Teriya-King"

Photobucket

We all have to be all ears when it comes to the well known Japanese clan, The Teriyaki Boyz. This time they come with their latest deliverance featuring a common collaborator of theirs, Kanye West. It's what you'll regularly expect from the group (if you follow their music)... that lively, feel good music with Kanye dropping a really nice verse on the song, which by the way he produced. Click on the link below to listen to or download the track.

FARchannel: The Cool Kids, "Pennies"

"I've been patiently waiting for a track for so long," from these dudes ever since I heard their album, "When Fish Ride Bicycle" was on ongoing productions. My favorite track from the duo of all times has to be "Oscar", but this one officially ranks at number two on my Cool Kids playlist. Check out the video that doesn't slack behind with any of the track's virtues.
