"Women" Project

Photobucket

One of Africa's largest blighted area, Kibera Kenya, was where artist, JR held his massive project titled, "Women" which took a year's worth of organization and contemplation. Rooftop eyes covered approx. 2,000 square meters and complementing the rooftops were local trains and visual smiles on hillsides, which conjoined with the trains to create faces. All of the eyes seen pertain to the women of the area. One must admit, the hardship idea was extremely ingenious on the artist's behalf and everyone who took part in the completion of the project. If interested, visit JR-Art.net for more pictures of the showcase.
